On Wednesday Dec. 16 - We celebrated "Holiday Night" - A wonderful night, great food - as we all celebrated the clubs many birding activities over this past year.

January 20 (Wed.) - Volunteer Appreciation & Members Night -  Bring photos - Members will have opportunity to share their photos and relate events from past year.  Photos should be on C.D.'s - projector will be available.

February 17 (Wed.) - "Newfoundland" - Join our friend Hugh Carola for an entertaining evening as he takes us on a fantastic  journey to the wonders of Newfoundland.

March 17 (Wed.) - "Hawk Mountain"  Author Jim Wright and Photographer Kevin Watson will share stories and photos that resulted in their new book about the world's first raptor sanctuary.

April 21 (Wed.) - "Birds of the Meadowlands" presented by Dave Hall of Bergen County Audubon. Dave will discuss which birds make their home in the Meadowlands and how the changing seasons and changing habitats affect them. Please note - this meeting will be conducted at the Environmental Center in the Meadowlands.

May 19 (Wed.) - "The Rarest of the Rare: The Composite Prints of John James Audubon's Birds of America" with Bert Filemyr and Jeff Holt. It is the story of Audubon's monumental work Birds of America including images of the 13 extra, unique composite prints and providing insight into how and why these rare plates were made. Both are active field birders, who have combined their passion with their interest in early American Ornithology and are officers of the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club.

June 16 (Wed.) - "The Wonders of Garrett Mountain" presented by Norma Holmes of Friends of Garret Mountain Reservation. Learn the history of Garret Mountain Reservation with images through the seasons, the birds of Spring migration, its year-round residents, and the parks and restored buildings. And get to know who the "Friends" are, their mission, accomplishments, and plans for the future.
 


Programs are open to the public free of charge and are presented at Flat Rock Brook Nature Center,      443 Van Nostrand Ave., Englewood, NJ.  Starting time 8:00 PM. For further information call Lisa DeVos (973) 686-0568
