       Red-Shouldered Hawk

 

January  16 -  Members’ Night.

February 20 - "Know the Bear Facts" presented by Michelle Ruggiero of NJ Fish & Wildlife. The program covers the natural history and biology of black bears with practical information on coexisting with black bears in New Jersey.
 

March 19 - "Screech Owls" presented by Jim Wright and Jerry Barrack. The program presents an amazing and intimate look at Screech Owls, as well as what is happening at the Celery Farm in Allendale.
 

April 16 - "Dragonflies & Damselflies" presented by George Nixon, founder of Jersey Odonate Enthusiasts (Joe). A program in three parts covers the ecology and natural history of odes, how to identify odes, and some you may run into out in the field.


May 21 - "Jungle of the Maya" presented by photographer Douglas Goodell. This presentation celebrates the exotic birds, creatures, plants and sites of one of the world's most magical places and addresses some of the issues threatening the region.

June 18 -
“Manitoba” presented by photographer Kevin Watson. This program takes you on a wondrous journey to Churchill during the spring migration.

Programs are open to the public and are presented at Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, 443 Van Nostrand Ave., Englewood, NJ.  Starting time 8:00 PM. For further information call Ken Witkowski (973) 208-9808
